| On the Image Art of Modern Chinese Poetry |

Abstract The paper analyzes the transformation and characteri stics of the image art of modern Chinese poetry in 1930s. The image art of modern poetry in the fo rmer period represented by Dai Wangshu and He Qifang shows the spontaneous pursu it of the mixture of image art of Chinese and western poetry when exploring the artistic conception of image and changing and using the modernity of classical C hinese poetry image. While the poets in the latter period represented by Bian Zh ilin and Fei Ming are mainly influenced by the symbolic art of the latter period . Image art transforms into the hidden rational presentation and also shows the daily characteristics of image.
