Abstract This paper, from three aspects, expounds the aesthetic features of ancient Indian sculpture art, and systematically explains the close relationship between the ancient Indian sculpture art and religious ideas. And under the restriction of the general aesthetic features, it fatherly proves that, the innate cultural reasons for the development of the aesthetic features of Buddhism and Hinduism sculpture art in different historical periods.
