| On Taoism Origin of Er Cheng''''s Theory of Human Nature |

Abstract The innate human nature and postnate human nature are the substance of Er Cheng's theory of human nature.They are not established on primitive Confucianism, but are influenced by some Taoism scholars, such as Cheng Jing-yuan and Zhang Bo-duan. This thesis thinks the theory of Lao tse offered some important thoughts for Er Cheng's new Confucianism.
