Abstract Historial development and future trend of science are linked to the transformation of science research's paradigm. The same is also true of educational research. Discussing paradigm of educational research is thought to he beneficial in that it promotes theory and practice of education. By retrogressing its historical change, this paper induces the characteristics and types of paradigm and hopes being useful to the development of pedagogy.
