Abstract Lu Xun' s conclusion about "the man-eating nation" disclosed the essence of fedal ethics which was advocated by Confucianists.It is completely a misunderstanding if "the man-eating nation" is explained to blame Taoism.Actually,Lu Xun' s criticizing attitude to the feudal ethics of Confucianists corresponds to Taoists and Taoism.Therefore,Lu Xun's censure to "the man-eating nation" mustn't be transfered wrongly to Taoism and Taoists.
