Abstract In ancient Chinese society,clan has significant role.Clan rules are used for internal control of the clan.The justice system based upon clan rules cannot be neglected as it is available for solving internal dissension,holding the clan together and ensuring the power of clan rules.Patriarchal justice in ancient Chinese society includes judicial organization,judicial process,modes of punishment.
