Abstract The social transformation is one of the characters of social development and also the grand context of the education development in contemporary China.The article discusses the nature of social transformation and the characters of social transformation in contemporary China,emphasizes the transformation of human being is the core of social transformation,suggests the education in China must implement holistic transformation with combining with the traits of contemporary social transformation.
