Abstract The villager's self-governance was from the spontaneous community into the state system and it was the nationwide implementation by the general state administration.It is the process of "democracy going to the countryside".In a certain sense,villager's self-governance is a democratization way of rural convergence,and it is the renewal of converging the rural society through modern state's "the political power going to the countryside" and "the political parties going to the countryside" since the late Qing Dynasty.Through" democracy going to the countryside",modern state is promoting mechanism of village governance for democratic orientation,which makes it true to re-converge the rural society.
