Abstract Literary aesthetics has proposed by Chinese scholars since the new period,a new subject with Chinese characteristics.It has experienced three stages.1980's was its preparation stage;1990's was its developing and constructing stage;entering the new century,literary aesthetics goes into its deep development stage.The academic connotation of literary aesthetics is defined as a new subject since the 1980's,its research subject is aesthetic experience in the field of art.Its research source includes: aesthetic conciousness displayed in all kinds of modern theories,works,and all the achievements in the field of art and modern mass culture resource.It's research method is the aesthetic empirical phenomenology improved by Maxism.Literary aesthetics is a great contribution Chinese scholars made to Chinese aesthetics and the world academy.
