Abstract According to the development of western Hermeneutics and several important concepts,this thesis explores the relationship between the Hermeneutics and literature criticism,and its positive effect on recognizing the real nature of literature and effect on expanding the functions of literature.The thesis thinks that,Gadamer's Hermeneutics,not only re-explained the nature of literature,but also deeply enlightened the theory and practice of literature criticism.Therefore,studying the Hermeneutics is still an important work to the construction of the theory of literature criticism.
