Abstract Yu Jiaju was a quite influential educationalist in modern times in China.In 20th century 20 and 30 ages,he was famous in educational circles for propagating and giving impetus to nationalism education with all his strength.He had many original opinions and widespread attention in society,and became the key points of people study.Yu Jiaju paid much attention to the study of the history of Chinese education.He had conducted the special study on education thoughts of many famous educationalists,such as Confucius,Mencius,Xunzi.He wrote the Essentials of the History of Chinese Education,which seldom brought people's attention.In fact,study on Yu Jiaju's works concerned the Chinese history of education,especially the Essentials of the History of the History of Chinese Education,will help us to thoroughly understand and comprehensively estimate his nationalism education thoughts.
