| Judicial Trust: Concept, Theory and Application |

Abstract As a dimension of political trust, judicial trust is a conceptual manifestation of the state judicial institution. The research on judicial trust began to develop in the 1990s and has exerted an extensive influence. This paper defines the concept and measurement modes of judicial trust,and compares judicial trust across different countries and time. On the whole,in China, the public's trust on the judiciary stays high for a long time. Furthermore,this paper analyzes various theories of judicial trust in details, and also their advantages and weakness, and then discusses the application of various theories in China. Finally, this paper analyzes how to use the theories of judicial trust to enhance the judicial trust of the Chinese public.
