| General Conception upon Discipline Construction of East Asian History in the Rising Trend of Oriental Countries |

Abstract While there are some researches lacking in maturity， and many fields are in need of careful exploration， the study of East Asian history is still at its primary stage in China，which calls for deliberate planning whether to construct the discipline or sum up historical experience and draw the necessary lessons. Academic development shall unceasingly summarize achievements of predecessors and usher in new research fields. In terms of discipline construction， the construction of East Asian history as an important sub-discipline of history， will serve as part of the construction of historical discipline system， academic system， and discourse system in our history study. In the rising of oriental countries， it is of great priority for social scientists to establish a systematic， rigorous and open-minded cognitive system of East Asian history with its own features and reinforce the cultural efforts for our nation.
