| The Historical Evolution of the Ideological Trend of“Constitutional Amendment” in Japan |

Abstract The promulgation of the “Peace Constitution” not only laid a political foundation for postwar Japan to take the road of peaceful development and rise as a world economic power， but also provided a legal guarantee for lasting peace in the Asia-Pacific region. However， over the past 70 years after the war， Japan’s conservative forces have been deliberately planning to amend and even abolish the “Peace Constitution”. If the original “Ashida Amendment” only buried the hidden danger of “Constitutional Amendment”， then the four vicious waves of “Constitutional Amendment” set off by Japanese conservative forces in the following years pushed the “Peaceful Constitution” to a precarious situation. No matter how the Japanese conservative forces peddle the “Imposition Theory”， “Outdated Theory” and “Hindrance Contribution Theory” of the “Peaceful Constitution”， they cannot cover up their political plot and ambition of returning to the pre-war era， that is， reviving militarism. The reason why the countercurrent of Japan’s “Constitutional Amendment” is fierce and intensified is closely related not only to the rightist trend of Japanese politics， especially the resurgence of right-wing forces， but also to the conniving attitude of the United States because of the cold war and anti-China sentiment. The key to preventing and even smashing the political plot of “Constitutional Amendment” by Japanese conservative forces is to accelerate the awakening of more and more Japanese people， strive to expand the political force of protecting the Constitution in Japan’s political arena， and promote Asia-Pacific states to form an internationally united front to maintain the Peace Constitution and other victorious achievements of the world anti-fascist war.
