Abstract:Doubly excited states of two-electron atoms and ions are formed through electron-electron correlations.In some collisions doubly excited states are formea most frequently by double-electron-rapture processes or by simultanous electron capture and excitation of the projetiles.Using the so(4) group theory in a basic assumption of the present model in which the two electrons are limited to the same average distance from the nucleus is successful. This paper deals with the variational parameters to calculate the double Rydberg excited state levels of non-equivalent shell electrons in Heliumlike ions.
