Abstract：This paper reported 30 species of flea (Siphonaptera) belonging to 20 gemera, 4 families found in Shen-Nong-Jia forest region, Hubei province. The relation between fleas and hosts in that area, the speices composition and the distributing of fauna was made clear. Besides Ochotona thibcta(?) Milne-Edwards, Rattus norreg(?)us Miller flea ratio and flea index in small mammals are also discussea.Among the 30 species, 10% are of common species, 23.33% are of oriental realm species, 66.67% are of palaearctic realm species, it shows that at this high altitude in Shen-Nong-Jia forest region palaearctic realm species is superior in numbers, The composition is similar as in Qing-Hai plateaus and Xi-Nan moutainous areas, but it also has some characteristics of its own the west mountainpus areas and is identifiea to the characteristics of distribution of fleas.
