Abstract：This review describes the recent progress on synthesis and application of 5 membered phosphorus heterocycles containing two nitrogen atoms. These heterocycles can be divided into diazaphospholidines containing P-P bond, the other diazaphospholidines, biological diazaphospholidines and the other 5 membered phosphorus rings.
