Abstract：This paper studies the construction of rural production garden plots which is advanced to improve the spatial organization of rural production in Jianghan Dongting plain. Four organization modes of rural production garden plots are suggested. The productive superiority degree of each branch is compared with another in order to recount five types of procedure for constructing rural production garden plots. In each garden plot of subregion, the dominant branch such as industry,cultivation,livestock breeding or aquatic farming should be established according to the type of procedure.
