Abstract：Land resource use and land management in the urban-rural eco-economicfringe (UREEF) are in disorder at present. With the speedup of China's urbaniza-tion, the high quality farmland will be encroached and lead to a series of associatedeco-economic problems. From the viewpoints of sustainable development, thethesis has dealt with the principles of resource management according to the eco-economic features in the UREEF. The authors consider that we should abide by 4principles of land resource management in the UREEF, namely, constraint princi-ple, dominance principle, equity principle and territory principle.
