Abstract：Displaying rug pattern code is one of the most important parts of rug hand knitting.The traditional method is that the artists write the codes on the code book then the workers knit according to the codes.Because many symbols fill in a piece of paper,it is difficult to read for the workers.To solve the problem,a new method of using huge amount of memories and microcontroller to display codes is proposed in this paper.The designed display includes two main components of 4 Mbits flash memories and microcontroller ATMEL 89C51.To implement the function of code writing,the method that write codes by combining serial communication and on line code programming is used.To implement the function of auto restore,nonvolatile RAMs are used as the memories stored operation status.The code display designed is not only easy to read,but also have good security.
