Abstract：This paper proposes a mathematical model for double opposite layout of cutting patterns.As the double and single opposite layouts in this model are thought as a whole part,range of optimal solution searching is broaden.It also discusses comprehensively the optimization process based on the genetic algorithm, and points out efforts are made to improve the algorithm in order to enhance operation efficiency.
