Abstract：The field squeezing in the system of a three level atom embedded in a high Q cavity filled with Kerr medium is investigated.The effects of Kerr medium on two mode field initially in two mode squeezed vacuum state and SU(1,1) coherent state are analyzed.It is found that the influence of squeezing for the field initially in SU(1,1) coherent state is more evident that for the field initially in two mode squeezed vacuum.
