Abstract：The development of the logistics in Shanghai is playing a very fundamental role in the city's economic growth. The technologies in logistics directly affect its benefit. Although the development and research of the logistics technologies of Shanghai are among the top level in China, but the functions and advantages of many types of modern logistics technologies have not been fully exerted because of the absence of the technologies, capital and technologist, which seriously affects the benefits of Shanghai's logistics. For the sake of enhancing wholly the technology level of Shanghai's logistics and improving the benefits of the logistics, it has become the trend to apply modern advanced logistics technologies in improving Shanghai's traditional logistics technologies. Combining remote system, global position system and other modern telecommunications and taking the GIS as the nuclear technologies, this paper tries to establish GIS-based logistics system and take the advantage of spatial analysis, mathematical model and dynamic monitoring of GIS to reduce effectively the cost of logistics, enlarge its whole benefit and realize the sustainable development of the logistics.
