Abstract：An organic corrosion inhibitor, named as JZH-1, has been synthesized. The inhibition effect on the corrosion of 45^# steel in 4 mol/L HCl solution is studied by weight loss measurement and electrochemical techniques. The results show that the JZH-1 is a highly effective organic corrosion inhibitor. Potentiodynamic polarization studies reveal that JZH-1 can inhibit both anodic and cathodic process of 45^# steel in hydrochloric acid, JZH-1 is a mixed type inhibitor.
