Abstract:With MC simulation methods we studied the hardness characters of quark-and gluon-jets in the 3-jet events in hadron Z^0 decay. It is found that there exists obvious difference on hardness characters between quark-and gluon-jets. The distribution of average multiplicity, average transverse momentum and average rapidity as functions of hardness of quark-jets in different avors has notable difference, while that of gluon-jets is the same; there exist strong positive relevancy between the average transverse momentum, average multiplicity and hardness in gluon-jets and quark-jets; while the strong relevancy between average rapidity and hardness is negative.
