Abstract:During the period of tourism transformation and development, the debate over whether to promote "fast travel" or "slow travel" highlights the necessity of studying the pace of tourism. This study investigates the emotional differences across different tourism paces, utilizing information extraction techniques from the large language model and emotion analysis methods to measure the tourism pace and tourists' emotions based on online travelogues. It is found that the pace of tourism significantly impacts tourists' emotions: slow-paced tourists experience higher positive emotions and lower negative emotions, while fast-paced tourists exhibit greater diversity in both positive, negative, and overall emotions. This study deepens the understanding of tourists' emotional patterns under different travel paces and responds to the industry's concern about the debate between fast and slow tourism, which provides reference value for optimizing tourism destination products.
