Abstract:The current research provides more evidence for the assumption that Hang Shijun is the real author of the book Hanshu Shuzheng. The direct evidence is the newly found citation “see Hanshu Shuzheng” in another book Shiji Shuzheng by an anonymous author, and the citation attests to the assumed identity of the author. The indirect evidence is the same assumption made by Japanese scholars Yoshigawa Kōziro(吉川幸次郎), Ogawa Shigeki (小川茂树)and Hiraoka Toshiyuki(平冈武夫) and Chinese scholars such as Sun Haibo and Zhu Xizu in modern times, Hang Shijun’s connection with scholars Zhang Yongzuo, Qi Zhaonan and Zhao Yiqing in Qing Dynasty, as revealed by the book Hanshu Shuzheng, as well as the agreement of Hang Shijun’ own thoughts and theories with that in Hanshu Shuzheng.
