Abstract:The construction of Wang Fuzhi’s poetic theory is closely related to the interpretation of The Book of Songs, which is mainly manifested in three propositions. “The Book of Songs is at the time of dark and bright” takes the sacrificial poems in The book of Songs as the object, attaches importance to the function of poetry and music in the communication between human beings and gods, and uses music as the medium to show the significance of the existence of poetry itself in the metaphysical and real world. The theory of “poetry with feelings” is based on the criticism practice of The book of Songs, which can not only connect the theoretical resources, but also take music as the medium. Based on the philosophical concept of “Qi”, it emphasizes the original relationship of “emotion” and “scenery”,as well as “heart” and “matter”, so it has the value and significance beyond the traditional emotional poetics. “Xing Guan Qun Yuan” is an important proposition in the study of The book of Songs and the history of poetics in China. The significance of Wang Fuzhi’s interpretation of this proposition lies in that it takes “emotion” as the center , and interprets “Xing” in the sense of the theory of “current quantity”, thus endowing this proposition with new connotation.
