Abstract:After the victory of Counter-Japanese War, the Nationalist government attached great importance to the reconstruction of Taiwan, and at the same time, it took various measures to reshape the collective memory and national identity of Taiwan society. Based on this, in the early period of the restoration of China, Taiwan held various exhibitions with rich contents. At first, the exhibitions were mainly about political and military photos, and then domestic products. During the Taiwan Province Expo, the exhibition focused on “various achievements in construction of the province”. These exhibitions not only reshaped the sense of time and space and cultural identity of Taiwan society, but also strengthened the relations between Taiwan and mainland China, thus strengthening the political integration of the Nationalist government in Taiwan. The main purpose of the Taiwan Province Expo is to show the achievements of the Nationalist government in governing Taiwan, but also reflects the complex aspects of Taiwan’s political society and public psychology after the war.
