Abstract：In the historic novel A Story Retold，Lu Xun revalued human being，which covered figures in the story and extended to the general public. The conclusion made by Lu Xun’s human revaluation is largely negative，the drawing of which is based on sophisticated rhetoric used in the novel. This figure of speech not only effectively satisfies the need for human revaluation，but also stands out with important aesthetic implications.
