The Dissemination of “Seventy Disciples” and Confucianism in the Jiangnan Region

Abstract:“Seventy disciples” is used to call the celebrities of Confucius’ disciples. Zi Gong, Zi You,Zhan Taimieming and Han Bizigong in the “seventy disciples” had been to the Jiangnan region. The academic feature of those people was “literature”, which belonged to Confucianism, with the tendency of Taoism. Their thoughts were transmitted from Qi and Lu states to the Jiangnan region,which basically matched the feature of the regional culture in Wuyue and reflected the ages characteristics of early Confucianism’s dissemination.
