Abstract:The political lyric poetry of the 1950s and 1960s faithfully recorded the social changes and public life after the foundation of People's Republic of China, and presented three aesthetic styles as a whole: the sublime beauty of grandeur in grand narratives, the beauty of freshness and tranquility in daily narratives, and the absurdity caused by bad social customs in alienated situations. Whether it expressed the magnificence of the revolutionary heroic spirit of socialist construction, showed the beauty of happiness in daily life, or satirized the absurdity in alienated social situations, the core value of the poetry still pointed to the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
