Abstract:Based on the spatial location of major nighttime economy carriers in Wuhan, the spatial distribution pattern of night economy carriers in Wuhan is revealed from three aspects including spatial distribution shape, spatial distribution pattern and spatial agglomeration area by using the nearest neighbor index and kernel density. The results are shown as follows. 1) The spatial distribution of nighttime economy carriers in Wuhan is unbalanced. Hankou, Wuchang and Hanyang form a large area of patchy distribution, “L” shaped belt distribution and point-axis distribution, respectively. 2) The nighttime economy carriers in Wuhan are all in the pattern of agglomeration distribution, and the overall agglomeration degree is high. The agglomeration degree of each type of nighttime economy carriers is obviously different. 3) The nighttime economic carriers in Wuhan are concentrated in the main business districts and regional commercial centers. Six major agglomeration areas are formed around the commercial districts, and several small-scale agglomeration points are formed in the regional commercial centers.
