Abstract:In this paper, polyvinyl butyral (PVB) / graphite solid lubrication material were prepared using a hot press technique. The effects of adhesive contents on the properties of solid lubricating materials were studied including hardness, compressive and flexural strength, frictional behaviour and wear resistance. The thermal stability was analyzed by TG-DSC. Surface morphology were characterized by super depth 3D microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. GeneXPro Tools and Matlab were used to simulate the relationship between the performance and the ratio for establishing functional image. The experimental results show that the optimal formula of the functional image is consistent with the experimental results, which is able to guide the optimization of the formula.
