Abstract:This paper analyzes the mode field distributions of TE 0 of planar optical waveguide by the two-dimensional scalar finite-difference time domain(FD-TD) method.Five kinds of optical sources are used as stimuli when establishing field sources,the mode field distributions obtained under five kinds of stimuli are the same after the optical wave goes for a certain distance and time,and this result is identical to that discussed by the analytical method.
