Abstract：A chelating resin based on chitosan is synthesized. When the resin is partly hydrolyzed,a modified resin is obtained. The adsorption properties of the resins for some metal ions are investigated through static adsorption method. After comparing the adsorption properties of the two resins the study reveal that the modified resin has better adsorption properties than those of the former one.
