Abstract:In order to further improve the energy efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) used in electric vehicle, a method of energy efficiency improvement based on convex optimization was proposed in this paper. First of all, the mathematical model of loss and efficiency in PMSM was built on account of the establishment of PMSM equivalent circuit. Secondly, the total loss of PMSM was designed to be the objective function of optimization problem, and the constraints including voltage and current boundary conditions etc. Finally, the convex optimization theory was used to enhance the PMSM energy efficiency. The simulation were carried out under the condition of ADVISOR, and the results show that the energy efficiency of PMSM is obviously improved, and the working points of the high efficiency region are significantly increased.
