Abstract:The Jianghan Plain has a superior natural environment, and enhancing its rural ecological resilience is the key to comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and high-quality rural development in the Jianghan Plain. Considering resistance, adaptability and resilience, a rural ecological resilience index system was constructed, and the level of rural ecological resilience in Jianghan Plain from 2005 to 2021 was evaluated based on the entropy weight TOPSIS method, kernel density estimation method, center of gravity-standard deviation ellipse and geographic detector model. The results were shown as follows. 1) In terms of temporal evolution, the ecological resilience level of rural areas in the Jianghan Plain exhibits a fluctuating upward trend, and the difference in ecological resilience gradually decreased. 2) In terms of spatial distribution, the ecological resilience of rural areas in the Jianghan Plain presents a spatial distribution pattern of “low-value dispersion and high-value agglomeration”. The spatial evolution shows a southwest-northeast direction, with the overall trend toward southwest. 3) In terms of influencing factors, land surface undulation, annual average precipitation change rate compared with ordinary years, normalized vegetation index, and proportion of environmental protection in fiscal expenditure are the main factors constraining the ecological resilience of the rural villages in the Jianghan Plain, and the impact factors changed from resistance to adaptability and resilience. These results would provide technical support for the ecological protection and sustainable development of rural villages in the Jianghan Plain.
