Abstract The author has connected and communicated with the researcher of the history of the Republic of China in Taiwan in a earlier time， who is regarded as one of the pioneers of academic communication between Taiwan and the Mainland. Since 1986， my colleagues in the history institute in Central China Normal University and I， have been the active impellers for the both sides’ academic communication. The academic communication between Taiwan and the Mainland is a tendency and in accordance with public opinions.
