| The Types and Geographical Distribution of “VP－Neg” Questions in Chinese Dialect |

Abstract Interrogative pattern of “VP－Neg” plays a very important role in the positive and negative interrogative sentences in Chinese dialect. According to different negative words and the structure of sentences， “VP－Neg” can be classified as “VP＋Negative Words”， “VP＋Compound Negative Words” and “Positive Words＋VP＋Special Negative Words”. As a frequently used form in Chinese dialect， “VP－Neg” questions have a wide geographical distribution. One-to-one and one-to-many relations exist between the form of sentences and their semantics. In some dialects， interrogative pattern of “VP－Neg” has special expressions in usage.
