Abstract The occurrence and construction of modern Chinese poetry is closely related to the dissemination and acceptance in modern times. In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, science and enlightenment promoted modern vernacular poetry. Modern poetic forms depended on the spread and acceptance of modern Chinese language. Both foreign poems and Chinese classical poems influenced the transformation of poetry's ideas and forms. The construction of classics of modern Chinese poetry occurred in the process of the dissemination and acceptance of modern Chinese poetry,in which both the disseminator and the receiver participated. In addition, modern school education directly impacted the dissemination and formation of modern Chinese poetry. In short, modern communication provides us with broad prospects and new growing points for in-depth study of modern Chinese poetry.
