| The Centenary Struggle of the CPC and the Establishment and Development of the New Type of Political Party System in China |

Abstract The new type of political party system in China grows in the course of the CPC’s 100-year struggle. It formed in the period of the new-democratic revolution. Its official formation was marked by the convening of the new CPPCC in 1949 and the foundation of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China. It was officially established when the multi-party cooperation policy was confirmed at the 8th National Congress of the CPC， from which began its exploratory construction. It entered the period of institutional construction when the 13th National Congress of the CPC put forward the concept of the system of CPC-led multiparty cooperation and political consultation. It developed continually in the new era of reform and opening up， and socialist modernization. As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era，it finalizes the design.
