Abstract Great changes have taken place in people's living styles and thinking ways with the coming of consuming times.How to dissolve the social crisis and the spiritual zoology dilemma produced by consuming times has been an urgent topic nowadays.Trying to begin from Marcuse's criticism of industrial society,this article analyzes the features in consuming times and their effect.At the same time,relying on Marcuse's new sensibility,this article discusses the necessity and the significance of establishing the modern new sensibility in consuming times and the issue of how to find approaches to build modern new sensibility and so on.
