| Elaboration of Mao Zedong and Louis Althusser on “Primacy of Relations of Production” |

Abstract This article argues that the proposition of “the primacy of relations of production” made by French Marxist theorist Louis Althusser should be regarded as a Mao-Althusser’s proposition， because it was based on Mao Zedong’s theoretical foundation that Althusser built such a proposition and his historical materialism which was linked to neither Darwinism nor economism.
