Abstract：Eight new abscisic acid analogs containing 1-hydroxybenzylphosphonates are synthesized by the reaction of O,O'-diethylbenzylphosphonates and 5-aryl-2E,4E-pentadienoic acids.Their structures are confirmed by 1H NMR, 31 P NMR, IR and MS. The results of bioassays show that some of the new compounds have some extent of plant growth inhibit activities.
