Abstract:The Chinese contemporary art has experienced 30 years of development. How to write its history has become a spotlight of concern in the current academic circle. Art critics have taken the lead in publishing the histories of contemporary Chinese art focused on different period of time, which may be of little historical significance for those professional art historians who serve in academies and respect honorable works, styles and schools, and Hegelian aesthetic principles and regard them as the principles of writing. From the perspective of textual criticism, this paper collates the works on Chinese contemporary art with the title of “history”, discusses the existed problems and possible written paradigm, to participate in the upsurge of the discussion of the writing of Chinese contemporary art history.
