Abstract:In order to better configure shipping resources, the container transportation network optimization model for new shipping alliance is constructed using the methods of data mining and analysis with hub ports and feeder ports as primary influence factor, based on the Internet environment and the disadvantage that traditional shipping is constrained by the schedule, voyage and vessel quantity. The model with the minimum cost as the goal is divided into two parts. The first one determines the amount and location of the hub ports, and the other distributes the vessels according to the requirements of the ports. New shipping alliance makes capacity of vessels bigger and fuller. This method is able to not only allocate resources efficiently, but also reduce the cost significantly, which adequately reflects the role of scale economy.
