Journal  of Central China Normal University (Natural Sciences),started  in 1955, is a core Chinese periodical managed by the Ministry of Education of  the PRC and sponsored by Central China Normal University. It’s among the  earliest university journals established after the founding of PRC with a former  name of Journal of Central China Normal College. It has been published bimonthly  since 2012 with ISSN of 1000-1190 and CODEN of HDZKEL.

Aim  and Scope

Journal  of Central China Normal University (Natural Sciences)  aims at publishing peer-reviewed research covering all fields of science and  technology based on corresponding policy, article originality and novelty in  order to promote the development of teaching and scientific research as well as  the cultivation of young researchers. The journal has become important in  academic exchange and propagation between the world and Central China Normal  University during the past sixty years, offering a platform for both native and  foreign researchers to present their achievements. Currently, the journal has a  circulation of over thousand copies and connections with hundreds of colleges,  universities, museums, research institutions and information agencies worldwide  with an increasing impact on secondary and tertiary documents. The featured  topics include the various aspects of applied physics, applied math, tourism,  environment, chemistry, material science and life science. Articles for sports  and management are also accepted. All manuscripts should be written in Chinese  or English. Electronic files of MS Word and PDF are  acceptable.

Journal  of Central China Normal University (Natural Sciences)  has joined the CNKI and ChinaInfo. It's indexed in Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) and identified as a comprehensive core journal of science and technology according to A Guide to the Core Journals of China. It is also collected by Chinese Academic  Journal(CD) and indexed in EBSCOhost, Chemical Abstracts (CA, USA), VINITI (AJ,  Russion), Mathematical Reviews (MR, USA), BIOSIS Proviews (USA), Zoological  Record (BIOSIS, England), EMA (USA), Index of Copernicus (IC), etc.  

Awards

The  journal ranked in Top 50 Key Sci-Tech Periodicals of Hubei Province in 1999 and  won the title of Excellent Periodicals of Hubei Province (3rd) as well as the  first prize on National Excellent Journals of Universities and Colleges on  Natural Science. It continued to hold the title of Excellent Periodicals of  Hubei Province for four times from 2001 to 2012, authorized as double benefit  periodical in Chinese periodicals phalanx by the National Press and Publication  Administration. It was also awarded in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Excellent Sci-Tech  Periodicals of Chinese Universities and Colleges in 2008, 2010 and 2012,  respectively. Besides, the Contribution Award for Subject Construction in  Universities and Colleges was received in 2013.
