Abstract:Separation of chloroform and ethyl acetate from Galium versicolor L. was carried out by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with normal phase, reverse phase silica gel column, sephadex column and semi-preparative high performance liquid chromatography. Nine compounds were isolated, dibutyl terephthalate (1), protocatechuic acid ethyl ester (2), ethyl protocatechuate (3), dihydrocaffine ethyl ester (4), cis-caffeic acid ethyl ester (5), methyl gallate (6), 7-hydroxy-6-methoxycarbonylketone (7), 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl) pentyl 1-propenoate (8) ,3′,4′-dihydroxybenzene) acetone (9), all of which were isolated from this genus for the first time.
