Abstract：A newly recorded species in China collected from Hubei Province of China， namely Entoloma graphitipes， was documented based on morphological and molecular phylogeny. This species is characterized by： grayish-brown or brown fruit body， smooth or somewhat rough pileus in the center； subdecurrent to strongly decurrent lamellae； smooth stipe； polygonal and subisodiametrical basidiospores with the diameter of 8.2～9.7×7.1～8.1 μm (average 9.0×7.6 μm). A detailed description and line drawing were given， and microscopic distinction between the species and their allies are recounted. The new discovery of Entoloma graphitipes not only enriched the species diversity of large fungi in China， but also played an important role in the systematic classification and evolution of the Entoloma genus. The specimens examined were deposited in the Herbarium of Mycology of Hanjiang Normal University (HMHNU).
